HOW WE HELP TEENS

We offer many services for teenagers depending on their situation. Our main goal is to get them back on the right track by fixing bad habits with positive recovery skills. A few different options to look at for your teen is the recovery high school, intensive outpatient program, or alternative peer group. Every child is different, and the type of treatment necessary varies from patient to patient.

PROGRAM FOCUSES:

Sobriety Through Aftercare Guidance Educational Services (STAGES) focuses on meeting the client and their family where they currently are in life. At Stages, our clients and families learn that recovery from addiction is not only possible but also fun. Clients can attend state-accredited Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD) while finding recovery from addictive behaviors and rebuilding relationships with families through our clinical program designed for teens and their families. Both teens and family members will meet new lifelong friends, having fun in recovery, in our alternative peer group.

DESIGNED FOR TEENAGERS:

These programs are designed for teens between the ages of 13 and 17. Our services incorporate methods and individualized treatment planning to help teenagers acquire the skills and techniques they need to live a life free of alcohol and drugs. Along with substance abuse counseling and therapy, our Alternative Peer Group (APG) offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor physical activities. We have over 3,000 square feet of space to provide the most supportive environment, autonomy, and anonymity that packed with pool tables, ping pong tables, and many more table games.

RECOVERY HIGH SCHOOL:

While attending TTUISD, clients will find that our academics are centered in a recovery-based environment. Physical wellness, the arts, and college and career prep are also incorporated into the curriculum. Students learn at an individual pace. Enrolled students will actively participate in our Alternative Peer Group.

This is a fantastic option for those students who might be returning from a inpatient substance abuse facility or who might have been asked to leave their current school. We are focused on providing an inviting, supportive and fun learning environment.

Before the student begins, he or she will meet with one of our staff members to determine the proper level of care required and guide the family through the process. Students are allowed to enroll at any time of the year. Classes meet daily on a year-round schedule.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM:

Our outpatient program is perfect for teens ages of 13 through 17 who are in the beginning stages of recovery, who are unable to interrupt their schedule for recovery treatment or for those who do not require a higher level of care. The program is based on the 12-step approaches and clinical treatment methods to help address the issues that brought them to addiction and keep them from reverting to it. This treatment includes individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, education classes, 12-step meetings, relapse prevention, skill-building, and spirituality awareness. Parental involvement in counseling sessions is required.

ALTERNATIVE PEER GROUP:

Our Alternative Peer Group Center is over 3,000 square feet and features a sober environment with games, pool tables, ping pong tables, and other activities. The Alternative Peer Group gives teens and parents a chance to find a supportive community of others going through similar situation. Our recovery coaches schedule supervised social events for teens to bond with individuals going through the same challenges.
