HOW WE HELP PROFESSIONALS

It is our goal to treat a wide array of professionals who need help with substance use, abuse, and addiction recovery so that they may return to their careers in the future. While all of our patients have a chemical abuse problem, our Professionals Program is designed to help addicted professionals with alcoholism, chemical abuse, and other addictive disorders so that they may return to their careers in the future.

DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONALS:

The program’s design is for professionals and space is limited to provide the most supportive environment, autonomy, and anonymity.  As a client in this program, there will not be college students or others that are not sensitive to the struggles of being a professional in the field with a substance use issue.

PROGRAM CORE:

The core of our program is our primary treatment for substance use. However, because professionals face additional challenges in recovery, we use several methods and specialized tracks.

RECOVERY METHODS

  • Group therapy and peer accountability
  • Relapse Prevention addressing core issues
  • Family Workshops
  • Caduceus, and other, professional recovery groups
  • Return to work assessment and preparation
  • Safe or “fit to practice” issues
  • Spirituality
  • Mindfulness Meditation
  • Medication Management
  • Sober leisure and wellness activities

OUR PROGRAM IS FOR:

  • Physicians in all specialties
  • Physician Assistants
  • Nurses
  • Dentists
  • Pharmacists
  • Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Counselors
  • Pilots
  • Attorneys
  • Business Executives

TRANSITION BACK TO WORK:

Our goal is to assist our clients in returning to work in their chosen profession, providing it is safe for the patient and the public. We work to aid the client in licensure and employment issues. We collaborate with the state board and professional health programs to allow our clients to have a smooth transition back to the workplace upon completion.

PERSONALIZED AFTERCARE PLAN:

Each client leaves with an individualized aftercare plan. Input will be by our treatment team, state licensing boards, profession-specific advocacy programs, employers, referral sources, and the client themselves. Monitoring includes individual and/or family or couples counseling, group therapy, profession specific groups and urine drug screens. Our clients find the structure and accountability helpful in early sobriety.
